This is a non-fiction book detailing events that took place during the five years I spent creating and running an international dating agency, on a shoe string budget, from a small terraced house in England, between 1991 and 1996.

Amongst the many characters, a real-life axe murderer features, along with a very suave and urbane English fraudster who runs off with a client's property; a ‘mad’ English professor with an excellent line in verbal put-downs; the Miami Mafia also features, appearing in the death-defying visit to their city I undertook in an attempt to reduce the agency's overseas postage fees; as does a secret ***anese sect and an English military officer's rescue of their beautiful ***anese ward within and his ensuing marriage to her; a blind date on a rain soaked mountain in Columbia; a very forgetful, yet erstwhile very astute, gin-soaked matchmaker; my very difficult escape from a very determined wealthy Jewess on a sales trip to New York, and a spooky, gay English clairvoyant make their appearances - and many more.

All the events took place before the dot-com revolution; a time when prospective clients had to mail their bio-data, profiles and fees internationally. They also occur against a background of strange encounters and ongoing personal struggles in my life then as both a single person and a severely underfunded putative businessman. My frustrations over constant battles with credit card companies, tax authorities and irate clients, are exacerbated by my entirely justified (within the text) contempt for authority.

And of course, there are many heart-warming true stories of people finding true love, in many countries across the world.
